How did Groundhog Day get its start? Andrew McGroundhog can tell you. He was just trying to go fishing one day, when he heard someone talking to him, but there was no one there. Who could be talking to him?

It was his shadow. And the shadow was not very happy. In fact, he was downright unhappy. He was tired of being dragged around during the wintertime. It was too cold for him to be in the water when Andrew fished or walked over bridges. It wasn’t fun to get stepped on by Shetland ponies and cows. He thought he had a better idea – hibernation. The McBears did it. The McFroggies did it. Why not the McGroundhogs?

Did Andrew agree with his shadow or did the shadow have to find a way to convince him? Either way, a new tradition was born, and Andrew McGroundhog wants to share the story with you.
